I found this place online and knew that I absolutely needed to Photograph this place.

Oh My Gosh... I shot the cutest little ray of sunshine on Sunday. I prefer to have my newborn sessions 10-15 days after they are born because they are normally a lot easier to work with... but I think this one month old did an amazing job....

Well after many up and down moments I finally made the decision to start a blog. I have no idea how long it will last or if I will ever find the time to actually keep up with it... so let me start with introducing myself...

I am Lisa... The owner and Photographer of L. Yates Photography. I did not go to college or study abroad.. Photography isn't something that I dreamed of as a child.. it was more along the lines of picking up a camera and falling in LOVE. Don't get me wrong, by no means was I a Ansel Adams when I started exploring and snapping away, it was more of the first time Mommy thinking every picture (including the bad ones) was perfect because it had my baby in it type of deal. It was actually the birth of my second child that pushed me more into the... I'm not half bad at this. So my husband bought me my first "REAL" camera. A Canon Rebel G... I loved it and took even more pictures of my kids and my nieces. Before long I was actually getting paid for this Love of mine.. This Passion that I could not get enough of...

So a few more cameras and a bunch of lenses later.. I have this Amazing thing and the ability to show my soul through the lens of a camera. This is me....
